SDS Plus

Milwaukee SDS Plus rotary hammers for drilling and chiselling in concrete and masonry. The range covers M18 and M12 cordless models, including M18 FUEL hammers, FIXTEC models that switch to a 13 mm metal chuck, and an M18 FUEL hammer with an integrated dust extractor.

Most models offer rotary hammer, hammer-only, rotation-only and variolock modes, and several include an anti-vibration system and AUTOSTOP.

Can I use an SDS drill as a regular drill?

Yes, for drilling. Milwaukee SDS Plus hammers, including the M18 FUEL SDS+ Hammer and the M18 Brushless D-Handle Hammer, have a rotation-only mode that drills without the hammer action. The M18 FUEL SDS+ Hammer (M18 FH) is rated for holes up to 28 mm in wood and 13 mm in steel.

The standard SDS-Plus tool holder takes SDS-Plus accessories. FIXTEC models, such as the M18 FUEL 26 mm FIXTEC ONE-KEY, can switch to a 13 mm metal chuck.
